Emberly in June

I have been too busy so far this "Spring" enjoying all the lovely Summer weather around here to blog or work on the inside of the house!

I have been focusing a lot of thought and energy towards the landscaping of our home and dreaming up the next steps for the next couple years here, in regards to the property. It's definitely a lot of work but I have fallen in love with gardening and the aesthetics of landscaping.  I've always had a deep love for nature and feel happiest when I am outdoors. It's been a very relaxing past month being able to spend a lot of time outside :)

I am trying my hand at gardening this year, and through a lot of trial and error, things are going pretty well! I am not the strongest person in this house (probably the weakest lol) so it's been a struggle to gain the stamina to keep working outside in the heat. I am using a lot of non-existent arm strength, but am determined to keep working away and to continually get stronger! I have a lot in pots and containers ready to put in the ground which I am hoping to do in the next day or two. I have some perennials, raspberries, tomatoes, peppers, romaine lettuce, broccoli, potatoes, and heirloom roses :) Possibly some herbs...if they decide to grow ;) Thanks to Gable Oaks for the tomatoes and peppers!

As always, Nate has been a BIG help outside and done a lot of the grunt work I struggle through. We are working on designing a gated garden to keep the dogs out of as well as some trelices for my roses. I'll keep ya posted on the progress!

About to bloom :)
